Teaching Ignorance
History is written by the victors, but who decides how it’s taught to the young? Award-winning documentary Teaching Ignorance embeds itself within the deeply segregated Israeli and Palestinian (Jewish and Arab) education systems over the course of an academic year. Following several passionate educators, the film captures intense classroom debates, sudden confrontations with students, and the teachers' own internal struggles against restrictive official curricula. More than a film about schooling, it offers an intimate, eye-opening look at how institutional education quietly shapes, restricts, and sustains a multi-generational conflict.
